# Carlos Menem, ancien président argentin  décède à l’âge de 90 ans

## L’ancien président argentin Carlos Saul Menem est décédé le 14 février 2021 à l’âge de 90 ans en raison de complications cardiaques.

L’ancien président est décédé à l’hôpital Los Arcos de Buenos Aires, où il avait récemment été admis.

M. Menem, membre du Parti justicialiste (PJ) fondé en 1946, a été président du 8 juillet 1989 au 10 décembre 1999\. Après un premier mandat présidentiel de 1989 à 1995, il avait été réélu pour un deuxième mandat de quatre ans.

Il a également été sénateur argentin depuis 2005.
