## Le nouvel émir du Koweït Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah a été intronisé ce mercredi 30 septembre 2020, devant l'Assemblée nationale.

Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah a prêté serment devant l'[Assemblée nationale](https://www.yeclo.com/tag/assemblee-nationale/) du [Koweït](https://www.yeclo.com/tag/koweit/) pour devenir le 16e émir de cette monarchie du Golfe.

Cheikh Nawaf a été nommé à cette fonction après le décès de son demi-frère, Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, avait annoncé mardi soir le gouvernement koweïtien à l'issue d'une réunion extraordinaire.
